The Art Of Tackling Big Dreams

By Evan Sanders

I hate saying it, but fear is ...most of the time... stronger than you. So if you do not come completely ready to battle for what you believe in, you are going to lose to it. There's only one specific technique to tackle a giant dream in life.

Eric Thomas has this wonderful speech where he talks about the true fact that if you strike at a tree in 1,000 different places, what will happen? Nothing. But if you strike at a tree 1,000 times in the very same place...that tree will fall.

The same thing is true of your dreams. You've got to strike and strike again without doubt and have nothing except pure vigilance in seeing it all 100% of way through. That is the only way I finally crossed one of the greatest obstacles of my life. And now, I'm , truly ready, to go back at it again, starting to tackle other dreams. I'm prepared to build from the foundation that I've already built and see what else I am capable of.

Why? Because my opinion is that I'm capable of more than what I have done in the past. Shouldn't we all raise the bar on ourselves?

I know I have more in the tank and can bring something better to the table each and every single time I do this. They say it takes years to ultimately build the dreams you would like - and honestly, I am content to make that sacrifice. I'm happy to make the sacrifice because it not only helps me mentally but spiritually also.

I have struck repeatedly at this vision of mine, and I have acheived goals, but the vision still has to be achieved. I have to continue striking at the same place over and over. So I must... because I am able to.

We are each capable of so much and yet we do not because of one reason or another. We must. We must give our gifts to the world - it should be no other way.

Choice is a tough thing to realise. A vast majority of the time we have the power to choose in the situation in front of us. We must never forget that those choices are ours and our responsibility alone. They truly are no one elses. When you begin to understand that pretty much all of your life is totally your own responsibility, you open up the doors of having the ability to change your world significantly. Instead of being the victim you become the captain.

So take the decision to be the king of your world. Tackle those big dreams with vigor and persistence. Never give up.
