Tapping Into The Greatest Secret Of Change

By Evan Sanders

The secret of change is to focus everything on creating what you can in the present, and letting yourself slip out of the past and the future.

How can we actually change?

I am not talking about the type of change that lasts for just a few months and then we return to the same stuff we really always used to do. No, I am talking about that everlasting change that springs us to advance with our lives and leave our old techniques behind. This is true change, change that will last forever. The secret is to commit everything you have in your life to building what you can in the moment.

The past will hold you down and the future will show you the greatest lie and mirage of a spot where it all turns out. Both these imaginary places are stunningly deadly because they keep us from being in action in the moment. Even though we can go there in our heads, we have to avoid living in these places at all costs.

Change will not be straightforward. Think about just how many people really try to make great changes the on the first of the year...January 1. Statistically nearly half of people that make New Years Resolutions fail by mid February. That disconnect is huge. So there must really be something incredibly shattered with that method.

So what can we actually do?

Focus on one thing, each day, to make yourself a tiny bit better compared to the day before and do that for as long as you possibly can. Don't get obsessed over the quantum leap where everything changes all at once - it's a lie. Focus on the daily tasks you can perform and over a period of time you'll change more than you could truly ever imagine.

Start the trip of change right now, one step at a time.

Don't wait.
